Team Blog Jack #TBJ: Vote on the new LOGO design!

Hey All and all #TBJ alumni!

Come on by and check out the logo design proposals for the Team Blog Jack community and be sure to vote in the comments below on which one is your favourite. The #TBJ Team will then select their new logo design based on the logo with the most votes.

What the heck is a TeamBlogJack anyway?

Well, it is a growing community of bloggers who join together via Twitter, Triberr and Facebook or wherever we can share our thoughts with our community. On occasion, we collectively visit a blog and we blogjack! My friend and cohort, Kaarina Dillabough recently suggested the following which I thought was a great description of a TeamBlogJack.

Kaarina suggested:

“the purpose of a TeamBlogJack is to: a) add a comment on the post b) engage some new people to the post c) to have a party/fun (isn’t that what “social” is supposed to be about? Getting together with friends and enjoying good-natured fun and banter?) and d) a #TeamBlogJack is just that… a hijack for fun and frivolity, community engagement and bantering among friends.”

So, without further ado, let the games being and please, please, please share this post with as many of your community as you can. The more votes and feedback we get the better.

These are just ideas and suggestions on alternate design ideas are also welcome.

Thanks and enjoy!

It's been a long time since we've had a good old fashioned Blog Jacking. :-) How has everyone been? I've missed you.

Like many others here, I like the Magic 8 ball the best - It is simple and yet, complex :-)

I'm voting for the bottom logo. In my mind it's the most memorable.

Late to the party...

I like the eightball. My two cents... I would take out the spaces and add the hashtag to the arc'd Team Blog Jack around the ball -- that way you get the tag in. Someone more creative than me will need to figure out what to replace #tbj with.

Good stuff Ralph and @KDillabough

I commented below, but just in case it gets lost in the action, here's a suggestion:

1. That we use the hashtag #TeamBlogJack, as it is the original.

2. That, unless we come up with an alternative, we consider using the "magic 8 ball" as our logo.

3. If others would like to submit alternative designs, they are welcome!

4. Perhaps we get together on a google hangout to iron out details, finalize a logo and get #TeamBlogJack to, in Brian's words, "become one of the most powerful organizations the world has ever seen"...mwahahahahaha.I do plan on writing a blog post next Monday on #TeamBlogJack, how it started with @Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing , and stating the "rules and reasons" for it.Please weigh in:) Cheers! Kaarina

That's an 8 ball? I thought it was one of those magic 8 balls that tells you the answer to your yes-no questions. Anyway, I vote for it on the grounds of simplicity and boldness, even though like @Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing  I'm not sure what it means. Which, come to think of it, is perfect.

Hi Ralph,

I like the Magic 8 ball (straight shooters, eh?) … and number 4 too.

The wicked 8 ball has the most visual impact though, me thinks.

Who gets credit for starting all this? @kdillabough? :)

All the designs are great but my vote goes to the first one - the ball. It looks very dynamic and action oriented to me. What a great idea to have a logo, @Ralph Dopping @Kaarina Dillabough  This is so much fun.

I just snuck around reading everyone's comment in the last session. Been spending quality time with my (rather nice-looking) dentist and with other stuff offline.

So happy to be a part of this! Group hugs!

Hi, Ralph, Jack of all trades! Wow, you have been busy! I like the ball as well, especially since I am very bad at playing billiard (what is it called in Canada: checkers or pool as in England?). It seems like I am practically living at your place now, do you mind if I help myself to a drink myself now?

@KDillabough  Hi Kaarina, agree to all but should we not take into consideration when using #TeamBlogJack on Twitter it will take up many letters and shorten our valuable literary input? Just meaning ...

@barrettrossie  @Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing "I'm not sure what it means. Which, come to think of it, is perfect."  <Brilliant.

It started during the fall months of 2012, or at least that is the rumor, and historians still debate the meaning of the strange choice of 8-ball for #TeamBlogJackers, secret logo, but all agree they became one of the most powerful organizations the world has ever seen.

Like the Masons, they quickly permeated the highest echelons of society, had almost unholy power, often wielded with snark and irreverence. Nobody knows where they will strike next, or who will be "Put under the 8-ball", but you can be assured that if it is you and your blog, you will have numerous occasions to guffaw.

@rdopping  @KDillabough  @Erin Feldman "Straight shooter?" Still not getting the original intent of a Blog Jack...when I launched it, it was oriented to community, banter, laughs, highway robbery (maybe a cowboy mask instead), highjack of the blog for awhile. Was in the spirit of fun, friendship, community...I already said that...

An 8 ball just doesn't say any of that to me (and, please recall my profession -- public relations and marketing). Thanks for presenting these for review, and you'll need to keep an open mind to listen to the feedback that is also in the spirit of appreciation for the effort here. Thanks.

@Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing  @rdopping  @Erin Feldman OK, I'm voting to keep #TeamBlogJack...the original. In terms of our logo...it appears that the 8 ball has gotten the most votes, but that doesn't mean we can't entertain other ideas as well. I'm thinking perhaps @Erin F. @gingerconsult might want to play with some ideas, and anyone else who'd like to offer suggestions. Can we agree that we use #TeamBlogJack as our hashtag? And I LOVE @ExtremelyAvg wonderful little story above, although I will add the founder/originator as @Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing I do plan to do a #TeamBlogJack post soon, so I wonder where that leaves us with a logo? Perhaps we should do a google hangout to hammer out details?

@rdopping  @Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing  @KDillabough I read that comment before I replied, but I must not be making the associative leap between an eight ball and straight shooting. Could you explain how those concepts tie into the idea of hi-jacking a blog? That's my understanding of blog jacking. I'm a little lost as to how the eight ball communicates that.
